Upper West dancehall musician, Gamebwoy has grown massively his fan base here in the region with several hit songs to his credit.

Born Farid Abdulai, the Uwaii musician has successfully worked his name as one of the best artist in the region. In fact fans walk away at most events after his performance an evidence of his relevance in the industry.

The Nan Ta Gaa hit maker is also most noted for his touring of most villages and towns within his home region and beyond. He has Also staged couple of shows in neighboring countries like Burkina.

In a radio conversation with DJ Anoda, the undisputed show stopper disclosed the massive love shown him anytime he goes to Burkana to perform.

“The people of Burkina responded to my performance on stage when I thought language was a barier, am now convinced that the love for me is not only in Wa”  The CEO added.

Talking about his fate at the PROMAS awards, Gamebwoy was of the view his hit songs showed that he deserved to win the best artist award. Speaking on Radio Waa, he attributed his had works to the current ratings he has had over the year under review.

He however expressed the fears that the awards was meant for the highest bidder and would not relent to work harder for his fans.

“the award is about money and the ability to vote it is not about the work you out in your music. Prumas is 100% vote so I would still be ok and normal and keep working hard since my fans loves and appreciates my work”  He told the host.

Gamebwoy lost Best Artist of the year in the last edition of the awards to Best Ghally when the later pulled more votes to be judged best artist.

Gambwoy Waalu ended the interview with a plea to fans to keep texting to enable him win Artist of the year at the PROMAS
